Ward Party

So the Relief Society presidency was in charge of the ward party this year. We decided that the president and 1st counselor would take care of the food and that Hailey and I would do the decorations. We were going to keep it "simple" this year by going with the theme of an old fashioned Christmas. Which seemed like a good idea because they used stuff they had right? We spent a whole day making gingerbread men and drying oranges and an evening of putting treat bags together of an orange, old fashion ribbon candy, and peanuts. The night before we set up tables and chairs and rolled out the paper on the tables. Then came the day of the party we filled jars of pine boughs and twigs tied it with a burlap ribbon and off they went to the tables, about three hours later with just the mason jars done, we began stringing oranges and gingerbread men on the jute. Then came the bags and the silverware. What took us hours to create was taken down in a matter of  minutes.
