4th of July

We thought we would have a big fourth of July BBQ like we did last year but I just didn't have it in me this year. David had been working out of town for weeks and I had been tired being a single parent and I was just tired so when the 4th rolled around, I was slightly relieved we decided not to entertain. We did a first this year and bought fireworks for the kids(I had no clue how expensive those things are!) We light a few and then watched the show in salmon from our porch and then when we came in to get ready for bed, Aiden yelled for us to look outside and we saw the fire right above us which was light by a sparkler in some dry grass.  We had a fun low key independence day!
