2009 Year In Review

I thought I'd do a year in review because our family

really has done a lot this year and we usually don't.

So here it goes: January:

In January we made a quick trip to northern California

to visit Gina's Grandma Swierstra. We also got to visit 2 uncles and aunt.

Then we went to David's cousin Corey's Wedding.

We were gone 61 1/2 hrs. and 30 1/2 hours were spent driving!

February:

In February we went to Sheridan, Wyoming to visit David's

brother Jimmy and his family. We had a lot of fun with them and

David was able to go to "work" with Jim for 2 days(Snowmobiling & 4 wheeler riding).

March:

During Spring break in march we went to southern California to

visit David's brother Brian and his family. We went to the beach,

San Diego Temple grounds, and Disneyland. We also had an In-N-Out

party with some of my cousins and my aunt & uncle, We also went to see

Gina's sister Tami.

April:

Still on our Spring break trip, we then went to Mesa

to see Gina's brother and his family. We went to the

Mesa Zoo and just hung out with family. On our way

home we went to the Grand Canyon(I had never been

there before, it's amazing). On our way home we stopped

to see David's youngest sister Julie & her family & to meet

the new addition to there family.

May:

We decided in May we needed to stay home and work on some

stuff around the house. We planted our garden, poured some

concrete sidewalks, and worked a little on landscaping projects,

some much needed TLC. Aiden finished school and was officially

a second grader. Kendra learned to ride her bike with out training

wheels and the kids were excited about the upcoming summer.

David's youngest brother Mark graduated from High School and

we were able to attend that.

June:

In June we went to Boise to visit David's brother Jeremy and his

family and to see there twin boys be baptized. Then just a few

short weeks later we flew out to visit David's oldest sister Angela

and her family in Chicago for a few days, then off to the Hobbs'

Family reunion in Nauvoo, IL. We had a ton of fun and are

thankful for the Halliday's and all their hard work!

July:

In July the kids did swim lessons again and loved them! David & I

took our 1st weekend getaway together without the kids.

We went to a George Strait concert in Salt Lake City, it was great!

August:

August was a busy month. Grandma Thompson came to

visit us, we had a ton of fun with her. While she was here we

meet Jared(Gina's step brother) and his kids in Missoula.

I was called as young women's president, The kids started school,

I did some canning & had strep throat twice.

September:

In September Aiden did soccer and Kendra started dance

and they both loved them! We took a fall family picture.

October:

In October we carved pumpkins grown in our garden, We attended a Halloween party at the church, went to a costume birthday party, went trick or treating around town and dressed up for school parties and a costume parade.

November:

As a family we went on our annual tree hunt in November to find the perfect tree. We had a lot of fun and found a great tree. We also had a great Thanksgiving!

December:

We had a great December. We got into the Christmas spirit. Made bags of treats for friends and neighbors and had a great time delivering them. We had a fun Christmas party at the church, saw Santa many times including when he came to visit us at our house. We had a fabulous Christmas! We found out that we will be having another baby boy this Spring! We have had a great year and hope that everyone has a great 2010!
